Paul Robeson - (1898-1976) was a person of many talents and held deep convictions of social justice for people across the world. He was a musician, actor, and political activist. Woody Guthrie -(1912-1967) was a musician that undoubtedly lead to the establishment of a culture of resistance within the modern music industry. His songs of resistance and melodic ballads of the working class, has influenced many in providing a base in which to cherish and hold onto.
 
Billy Bragg - (b1957) is one of the few current singing anglophone activitists. Billy has never steered far from his roots and beliefs when it comes to the contents of his songs. According to Mr. Bragg, "the revolution is just a t-shirt away". He recently had the honour of working with the Woody Guthrie archives, whereby Billy helped put music to several of Woody's unpublished lyrics.
